The owner of this gorgeous, award winning, ’57 Pontiac Safari station wagon wanted to create a “period” street machine – something you might have seen cruising the local strip back in the mid-‘60s. He brought his car to Trick Works where it was given a complete frame-off restoration with some subtle, yet effective updates. Although the motor looks like a stock 389, it is a 432 stroker with an electronic ignition disguised to look like a points setup. The original brakes system has been upgraded with power assisted front discs. The car still has a manual trans, but it is now a Tremec 5-spd unit. A modern sound system is hidden in the confines of the interior. So, the owner now has a totally reliable, driveable street machine with that cool “old school” look.
